Electric starter kit is Hitachi style with a black starter and parts for 1967-1980 XL models. Existing clutch drum must have starter ring gear attached. Kick and electric start sprocket cover must be used if kick starter is to be retained. Battery top cover and strap are not included. Starter kit can be used on 1967-1970 models but engine cases must be electric start type as kits can only be used for replacement for these years.
