Comes in a natural, lightly polished finish - will tarnish with age, or you can clearcoat it to preserve the shine.  Heavy duty .090" thick steel backplate is powdercoated in Harley Denim black color.  Backplate includes a drilled tab at the bottom for an easy location for a carb stabilizer brace as needed (brace not included)

This is a hand finished part and will show some imperfections - NOT a billet-look part.  Has some roughness on the edges of 1/8" thick brass cover

Has good flowing characteristics AND the retro-cool looks
Comes lightly oiled and ready for use. Clean and re-oil filter just like a K&N.  Replacement filters are available and reasonably priced.  Air only enters thru tapered filter - not thru brass cover holes

Includes bolts to attach to carb inlet, carb inlet gasket included. For an airtight seal apply RTV silicone to gasket before mounting to backplate.  Take care not to overtighten filter mount screws or compression and distortion of the filter mesh will result - just tighten enough for ail seal - using blue threadlocker

Minor assembly required (we recommend BLUE medium strength threadlocker on ALL bolt threads and wingnut for final assembly. Always test for tightness after a short ride)
