Hardtail should be aligned for chain clearance prior to final welding. This hardtail fits hardtail rigid frames. The distance between the inside to inside of the axle plates is 9-5/16 inch. DIY hardtailing is easy to install as the alignment is accomplished in the mount design provided. Welding should be performed by a skilled welding technician.
