Electric starter kit includes a 1.4kw compact starter with integral Bendix solenoid and gear reduction. Kit also includes mount plate 4 gauge cable two 5/16 x 24 cable ends and heat shrink tubing. Natural finish starter and starter housing bolts directly to original starter drive port. *NOTE: Requires (2) m5.08 x 2 inch countersunk flathead screws. *NOTE: Check clearance between sprocket cover oil tank and battery tray. Check clutch drum must have 62 tooth ring gear installed available separately. Starter motor accepts direct push button included. Technote: Required to use with #18-3640 62 Tooth Clutch Drum with Starter Ring Gear Welded-On. Suggested to use with #32-1845 V-Fire XL Starter Motor. Starter motor housing clearance motor case above sprocket case. Rear cylinder clearance for starter as shown. Use die grinder or 4inch Makita type disc grinder. Starter button may be used with starter button relay. VT #32-0472 Remote Starter Button includes 3 button head screws. Install before installation. Mount bolts included for attaching alloy mount plate 5/16inch x 18 hex (2) with washers. Lug on starter is for 5/16inch hole of 4 gauge batter cable cut cable to length to connect directly to battery (+) terminal.
